Off Site Decon™
As leaders in the field of bed bug control we are constantly asked about how to decontaminate complex items and personal possessions. The short answer is that just like treatment it is a complex process and can take time. In response to this growing request we have set up a decontamination production line in the warehouse and offer the following service.
We have written a decontamination pack outlining exactly how items need to be packed to ensure that there is no contamination to the postal and courier system which includes everything you need to get items safely to us to be worked on. These packs which include the packaging material can be purchased at the time of treatment or via our office.
The decontamination process takes between 14 and 18 days for most items and ensures complete eradication of the bed bugs and their eggs, at this time it is not suitable for electronic items. Detailed instructions on what can be decontaminated are included in the decontamination pack.
The service is both discrete and confidential and as long as our instructions are followed there will be no need to break the seal on the boxed items assuring absolute confidentiality and total discretion.
Decontamination boxes
Each decontamination box measuring 30cm by 30cm by 45cm provides enough capacity to handle items such as:
Small suitcase or cabin bag
Contents of an under bed draw
Contents of the average bed side cabinet

£30 + VAT for a 30cm by 30cm by 45cm box with you providing the transport to and from our facility in Battersea.
£50 + VAT for a 30cm by 30cm by 45cm box including 48 hour courier shipping from your location to our facility and return on the same carrier.
Decontamination only customers
£65 + VAT for a 30cm by 30cm by 45cm box with you providing the transport to and from our facility in Battersea.
£80 + VAT for a 30cm by 30cm by 45cm box including 48 hour courier shipping from your location to our facility and return on the same carrier.
Overnight Express decontamination
With the commissioning of some new equipment in January 2008 we can now offer low volume overnight decontamination suitable for up to 10 cubic foot of material per session. This is most useful for travelers who get exposed to bed bugs mid trip and do not want to risk taking them back home, simply have you bags sent to our facility and subject to availability you could pick them up the next day bed bug free ensuring that you do not carry them home with you.
This approach has been successfully used on numerous occasions to help people move from an infected location and ensures that they do not take any bed bugs, eggs or infected items with them.
Bespoke decontamination and non standard items will be considered please contact us with details and preferable pictures and measurements so that we can calculate a cost and feasibility. Items we have been asked to work on in the past have included antique furniture and works of art as well as domestic and commercial vehicles.
Under no circumstances are items to be sent to our office without strict adherence to the procedures and protocols outlines in the decontamination pack.
If you wish to deliver the items to our facility yourself it must be in normal office hours although occasionally with at least 24 hours notice we can extend the opening hours a little to accommodate deliveries. Delivery on weekends may incur a small charge for antisocial working hours.

We sometimes use the decontamination facility in conjunction with treatment options, most noticeable in cases where other pest controllers have managed to fractionate an infestation and make the problem a lot more widespread than it should be.
In one recent case we were able to eradicate an infestation that others had treated 4 or 5 times with different chemicals, as a result the infestation had spread to all the clothes, books and possessions in the property. Despite being faced with a difficult scenario we only needed to treat the property once and managed to repair the relationship between he landlord and tenants.
