Prevention

We get a lot of enquiries asking how people can prevent getting bedbugs in the first place.  The simple fact is that there is no simple way of avoiding contact with this exposure pest, all you can do is be bedbug aware and avoid high infestation risks.

The key to this is education, it is not only important to know what to look for it is essential to actually look for it.  Every time you stay away from home check the bed for signs of bed bugs and help reduce your risk of being infected.

Check your sleeping area on a monthly basis and perform a routine clean as you inspect.  This simple 30 minutes procedure can help to ensure that an infestation is detected at the earliest possible stage when it can be easily dealt with.

It is also essential that you check all the items of furniture that you bring into your home for signs of an infestation regardless of what the source was.  There are plenty of horror stories out there about people who had a dose of bedbugs delivered with the brand new bed, it is a rare occurrence but it can happen.  To avoid this check with your supplier to see what steps they take to avoid this happening.

The best prevention is to follow the guidelines outlaid in the treatment manual and visit out educational information section.

If you cant prevent an infestation the next best step is to ensure that you detect it early.  Our passive bedbug monitoring technology has been shown to detect down to a single bedbug within 12 - 72 hours of them being introduced to a location.

This not only illustrates their presence but does so before they have time to start breading and ensure that you can identify the problem before it spreads out of control.

We believe that passive monitoring is not only the most cost effective bedbug detection solution available worldwide but is an essential step to any proactive approach to this nuisance pest.
